Honoring Our Veterans

A VETERAN

An individual with strength and determination, steadfast, much like the stones that will display their name for generations to come.

A veteran exhibits courage, pride, selflessness, dedication to duty, and integrity: the qualities required to serve a cause greater than one's self.

FIND A VETERAN’S NAME ON THE WALL

  • The black granite walls radiating out from the centerpiece of the memorial display the names of over 5,500 Stoughton veterans. New names are added to the wall every year in spring.

  • The database is organized alphabetically and includes first and last name, the conflict in which they served or peacetime, and the Wall of Names panel number. Find a veteran’s name before you visit the Memorial.

SUBMIT A VETERAN’S NAME

  • Who is eligible to apply? Any veteran or active duty service person, including National Guard and Reserves, who meets the residency requirement is eligible to have their name inscribed on the Wall of Names.

  • You are invited to submit the names of veterans who currently or previously resided in the City of Stoughton or the Townships of Albion, Christiana, Dunkirk, Dunn, Pleasant Springs, or Rutland.
